Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Commission for Women (OSCW) has been able to dispose off 70,281 cases till June this year since its inception in 1993.
In a written reply to a question by BJD MLA from Satyabadi Umakanta Samantaray, Women & Child Development and Mission Shakti Minister Basanti Hembram informed in the State Assembly that a total of 77,569 cases were registered with the OSCW till June this year since its inception in 1993.
Hembram said that out of the 77,569 cases as many as 70,281 cases have been disposed off by the Commission.
Only 7,288 are pending disposal with the Commission, she added.
