Cuttack: Odia actor Tanmay Mohanty (Babushan) has moved High Court seeking anticipatory bail. According to reports, the actor’s wife Trupti Satpathy had filed a complaint against Babushan with Kharvela Nagar police. On the basis of this complaint, a case has been registered under Sections 498A and 506 of IPC, reports said.
Babushaan was in Chennai for an event and returned to Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. On Saturday morning, his wife had allegedly thrashed Babushaan and co-actor Prakruti Mishra when they were leaving for the airport.
The video of this street fight went viral on social media stirring up a controversy. Mishra’s parents have also lodged a police complaint in this connection.
