Bhubaneswar: A bus from Bhubaneswar to Puri overturned near Pipili toll gate on NH 206. The incident took place at around 4:30 pm on Friday. One person was killed while 15 sustained serious injuries in the accident.
According to report, driver of the speeding passenger bus lost control of the wheels and rammed the vehicle into the road divider. As a result of the impact the bus toppled to its left, leading to a casualty and several injuries.
Sources said, the Helper of the ill-fated vehicle lost his life in the mishap. The injured have been shifted to Capital Hospital here. Teams of police, fire service and local people rushed to the rescue of the injured passengers.
