Bhubaneswar: The weather that had been rainy for the last few days turned favourable in the capital city of Odisha on Monday on the occasion of the 76th Independence Day.
The city denizens saw a clear sky after a long gap of nine days as yesterday’s Depression over North Interior Odisha and adjoining North Chhattisgarh and South Jharkhand has moved further towards Chhattisgarh.
The Depression moved west-northwestwards with a speed of 21 kmph and lay centered at 5.30 am today over North Chhattisgarh and neighbourhood close to Korba and 100 km east-southeast of Pendra Road.
It is very likely to continue to move west-westwards and maintain the intensity of the Depression during the next 12 hours.
