Berhampur: A person survived a serious medical condition due to an effective surgery at MKCG Medical College and Hospital here on Sunday.
The patient in question had a stainless steel tumbler shoved into his anus following a drunken brawl with his friends.
While the mishap occured five days back, the patient crying with pain was treated surgically on Sunday.
The patient, a 45-year-old man from Balipadar area in Buguda block works at a cotton mill in Surat. According to reports, the man is doing ewll and recovering.
