Bhubaneswar: Odia film actor Prakruti Mishra today moved the Orissa High Court seeking ‘justice’ in the case pertaining to an assault on her. The case relates to actor Tanmay (Babushaan) Mohanty’s wife Tripti Satpathy attacking Mishra in full public view on July 23 in Bhubaneswar.
Mishra’s parents, noted Music Director Manmath Mishra and Doordarshan artist Krushnapriya Mishra had filed a complaint against Satpathy and her father with Kharvela Nagar police, the same evening, alleging assault.
Speaking to media persons here today, she said, “Whatever has happened with me is in public. I have full faith in the judiciairy that I will get justice.”
Mishra’s lawyer, Byomakesh Tripathy said that no action has been taken by Kharvela Nagar police, ‘though a month has passed since she was attacked’. “We have moved the High Court seeking action in this matter,” he said.
