Berhampur: A minor fire broke out at the MKCG Medical College and Hospital here on Friday. The blaze was spotted on the fifth floor of MKCG MCH complex, reports stated. Fire service personnel rushed to the spot and doused the blaze.
No casualties or injury has been reported as a result of the mishap. The patients were shifted downstairs soon after they spotted smoke billowing out of the fifth floor where the plastic surgery ward is located.
“The fire has been extinguished. The situation is under control,” a firefighter said. The reason behind the outbreak of fire was yet to be ascertained. A probe has started to ascertain the cause behind the fire.
