Bhubaneswar: Two low pressure areas or cyclonic circulations are likely to form over the Bay of Bengal (BoB) during the period spanning the current week and the next week, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
“According to the extended range outlook issued by us on Thursday, a low pressure area or cyclonic circulation is likely to form in the westcentral Bay of Bengal of Bengal in the first week beginning from today to September 8 and another in the adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal in the second week from September 9-15. These are likely to have little impact on Odisha,” informed Uma Shankar Das, Scientist, IMD Bhubaneswar.
Das, however, said that the exact impact of these will be known when things are clearer.
