Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for 19 districts with a forecast of thunderstorm and lightning over the next 24 hours.
According to the IMD, thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over – Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Koraput, and Malkangiri.
Similarly, light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.
The cyclonic circulation over Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andhra Pradesh coast now lies over Westcentral Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood and extends upto 3.1 km above mean sea level, the IMD stated.
Different parts of the State, especially coastal and central districts are likely to witness rainfall till September 28. Bhubaneswar will have a partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate Rain or Thundershower. The maximum and minimum temperature is very likely to be around 32 degrees and 26 degrees Celcius respectively.
