Puri: A woman tourist was found hanging inside a hotel room in Puri on Thursday. She is suspected to have committed suicide.
The deceased identified as Aishwarya Sahanabag was a resident of Benguluru. She was working for a voluntary organisation that had a meeting in that hotel.
She had talked with her family last night. As they were unable to contact her again in the morning, they called the hotel to inquire about her.
When she did not open the door of her hotel room despite repeated calls by the hotel staff, the hotel staff opened the door and found her hanging.
On getting information, Sea Beach Police rushed to the spot, seized the body, and sent it for post-mortem. Her family members were also informed about the incident.
