Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) under the Crime Branch of Odisha Police on Friday during a raid at Havelipadia in Khordha under Khordha Town Police limits seized 1.150 Kg brown sugar and arrested a drug peddler in this connection.
The accused has been identified as 23-year-old Sidhartha Nayak alias Sidhu of Harijan Sahi under Khordha Town police limits.
The STF has also seized one KTM Power motorcycle and other incriminating materials from his possession.
Accused Sidhartha has been forwarded to court.
The STF has registered a case under sections 21(c)/29 of NDPS Act 1985 while further investigation is underway.
The STF in its special drive against narcotic drugs since 2020, has seized more than 59 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin, 202 Gram Cocaine and more than 111 quintals of Ganja/Marijuana, Opium 750 gram and arrested more than 160 drug dealers/peddlers.
