Bhubaneswar: A truck owner of Chhamunda village under Telkoi police limits of Keonjhar district allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself on Friday after being not able to pay back the loan he had availed to purchase the vehicle.
The deceased identified as Mukund Mahakud had purchased the truck by taking a loan from a private finance company. However, he could get any transportation work. He was even forced to sell his land to repay some installment.
As he had no other source to repay the loan and unable to bear the pressure from the finance firm, Mahakud led to the extreme step and hanged himself on the truck.
