Bhubaneswar: A banana-seller was killed after being knocked down by a speeding car at Kalpana Chowk here on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Bhagaban Sahoo of Hindol in Dhenkanal district. while the car driver has been identified as Saswat Mishra, a native of Saheed Nagar area here.
According to reports, the banana-seller was engaged in his business at the Kalpana end of Rajmahal flyover, when he was knocked down by the speeding car coming from Rajmahal chowk side. Sahoo sustained serious injuries and succumbed on the spot.. Police have detained Mohapatra and seized the car. A case has been registered in this connection.
