Bhubaneswar: A newborn baby girl was found abandoned near a pond at Giringaput village under Chandaka police limits on outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Wednesday night.
The baby girl was found by a couple. She was found with congenital deformity in her spine. She was admitted at Mendhasal Community Health Centre immediately. Chandaka Police reported the matter to Childline.
Immediately Childline contacted Mendhasala CHC doctors and today morning a Childline Member took responsibility of the baby. She will be transported to Khordha District Headquarters Hospital. A surgery is planned to be held on October 17.
Information was given in writing to Additional CWC, DCPO, Bhubaneswar DCP, and IIC Chandaka. The condition of the baby is not good.
