Bhubaneswar: The Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur today sentenced a former (Retired) Fee Supervisor of Berhampur Municipality Kumuda Chandra Pradhan to one-year rigorous imprisonment (RI) after convicting him for possession of disproportionate assets to his known sources of income.
The court has also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000, and on default of payment of the fine while ruling that Pradhan has to undergo additional RI for a period of one month.
According to an official press release issued by the Odisha Vigilance, the agency will move the competent authority for the stoppage of pension of Pradhan following his conviction.
