Bhubaneswar: A person died while two others sustained injuries in a fire that broke out at a sweet shop in Panposh Chowk area of Rourkela on Saturday.
Reportedly, the preparation of sweets was underway at Om Sweets when a gas cylinder exploded. It led to the death of a person.
The deceased has been identified as Arun Kumar, a native of Bihar, who was working as a cook at Om Sweets.
On getting information, fire tenders of Panposh Fire Station and Rourkela Steel Plant arrived at the spot to douse the flames.
