Bhubaneswar: An elderly woman was reportedly trampled to death by an elephant at Baghajharan village under Khaprakhol Block in Bolangir district. The tragedy occured on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Basanti Angaria who was trampled by the jumbo at around 9.15 pm. She had come out of her home to attend nature’s call.
It may be noted that two giant tuskers from Komna area (in the adjoining Nuapada district) were spotted roaming in Lathor village under Khaprakhol Block on Saturday.
