Bhubaneswar: A wild elephant entered the capital city Bhubaneswar late last night. It was tranquilised near Aiginia today morning.
The elephant was first sighted in Dhauli area at around 12 am. Later it arrived near Lingaraj Temple through Garage Chhak. Subsequently, it entered Sundarpada area.
A joint team of over 60 police and forest department personnel struggled for hours to drive away the elephant. After being tranquilised it is to be taken for health checkup.
