Bhubaneswar: Continuing support in the startup ecosystem in Odisha, HDFC Bank signed an MOU with one of India’s premier technical institute IIT Bhubaneswar for its incubation centre – IIT Bhubaneswar Research and Entrepreneurship Park to support the startups incubated with IIT Bhubaneswar REP and provide banking solutions, mentorship, handholding and other value added initiatives by the Bank.
The MOU was signed by Debi Prosad Dogra (Board of Director- IIT Bhubaneswar REP), Prof. Sujit Roy (Board of Director- IIT Bhubaneswar REP), Deepak Kumar Singh (Sr. VP-II,State Head, HDFC Bank) and Animesh Biswal, Vice President, HDFC Bank, in presence of Purabee Parnashree Mishra (CEO- IIT Bhubaneswar REP), Soubhagya Manjari Sahoo and Sourava Pradhan and other senior officials and faculty members of IIT Bhubaneswar and the startups.
Deepak Singh from HDFC Bank addressed the Startups about bank’s offering on flagship program SMARTUP & also mentioned HDFC Bank allocation of grants to startups in Odisha through CSR funds since 2017. With this MOU, IIT Bhubaneswar incubated Startups will avail many benefits of Smartup program launched by HDFC Bank for the Startups by partnership with govt and private entities to support growth of startup ecosystem.
For the benefit of startups HDFC bank will conduct HNI meet and also mentoring. Bank has also launched a special program where Startups working on socio economic ventures can also receive grants. Through HDFC Bank Connect, bank will connect innovative startups to relevant business and technology team at HDFC Bank.
