Bhubaneswar: The minimum temperature recorded by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) at Similiguda on Saturday night was 7.6 degrees Celsius.
Similarly, the lowest minimum temperature at Phulbani and Kirei in Sundergarh district was 9.5 degrees and 9.4 degrees respectively, as the cold wave grips Odisha over the last couple of weeks.
At least 10 places (including the three mentioned above) recorded temperature below 12 degrees Celcius last night, the IMD data revealed.
While dry weather prevailed over the State on Saturday, shallow to moderate fog was witnessed in Angul, Phulbani and Bhawanipatna.
The Twin City of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded minimum temperature of 14 degrees and 14.8 degrees respectively. Malkangiri and Boudh recorded the highest maximum temperature of 31.5 degrees on Saturday.
