Koraput: A cattle was killed allegedly in an attack of a tiger here on Saturday night. The incident was reported from Jhankiri Karili village in Bandhu Gaon block of Koraput district.
The incident has triggered panic among the villagers who demanded security from the suspected tiger, which they said is roaming around on Andhra – Odisha border.
“The mishap took place on a hilltop where the cattle had gone for grazing. The case may be serious if the tiger enters into our village,” a Jhankiri Karili native said. Forest department personnel are carrying out an investigation into the matter.
