Bhubaneswar: BJP leader Dillip Kumar Senapati, who was allegedly abducted, was rescued by police late Monday night. His hand and leg were injured. He has been admitted to Padmapur Medical Centre.
It was alleged that Dillip was abducted from Sanadadar chhak of Jharbandh Block under Padampur assembly constituency on Monday evening. Lanjigarh BJD MLA Pradip Disari and his accomplices have been accused of abducting him at gunpoint.
A complaint in this regard had been lodged at Jharbandh Police Station. At around 11 pm, the BJP leader was rescued by the police in a critical condition. He was severely injured in various parts of his body.
