Bhubaneswar: As many as 3,800 sanctioned posts of lecturers and other teaching ranks are lying vacant in the State in Government institutions, Higher Education Minister Rohit Pujari said.
In a reply to a question raised by Khandapada MLA Soumya Ranjan Patnaik in the Assembly, the Minister informed that there are total 10,913 sanctioned posts in Government colleges and universitites and fully aided institutions.
Out of these, 958 posts are lying vacant in universities, 1,057 in government colleges and 1,785 in fully-aided colleges. “The OPSC is carrying out recruitment for varsities and colleges while OSSC is conducting recruitment for fully-aided colleges,” Pujari said.
