Bhubaneswar: Over Rs 38.93 crore revenue has been collected in between April 2022 and October 22 during the enforcement of Motor Vehicle Act in Odisha, stated a data released by Commerce & Transport Minister Tukuni Sahu in the Odisha Assembly on Thursday.
As per the data over Rs 85.30 crore revenue was collected in between April 2019 and March 2020. Similarly, over Rs 36.60 crore in between April 2020 and March 2021, and over Rs 55.14 crore in between April 2021 and March 2022.
The Minister also informed that a total of 2,25,491 E-challans had been issued this year upto October 31. In the year 2019-20, the number of E-challans issued was 3,74,288, it was 1,65,408 in 2020-21, and 2,48,205 in 2021-22.
The number of Learner’s License (LL) issued this year is 3,62,295 and the number of Driving License (DL) is 4,83,623. A total of 46,32,641 LLs, and 51,16,723 DLs have been issued in Odisha since 1991, the Minister added.
