Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched various projects in Jagatsinghpur district worth Rs 214 crore. The Chief Minister inaugurated 4 Mission Shakti Bhavans in Jagatsinghpur, Raghunathpur, Tirtol and Balikuda, while a 10-bed ICU was also inaugurated in the District Head Hospital.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister has also laid the foundation stone for 43 projects. The Chief Minister said that 12 lakh people of the district will be benefited by this.
Attending the program through virtual mode, the Chief Minister said that maintaining the faith and trust of the common people is the most important thing. “We are working towards this and will continue to do so.”
Describing Maa Sarala temple as a motherly Peeth, the Chief Minister said that his late father and former Odisha CM Biju Patnaik laid the foundation for the industrial development of Odisha in Paradip.
“Today, Paradip as a prosperous port of the country has created many opportunities and is the lifeline of our economy.”
Expressing that Mission Shakti members in the district have become the development icons today, the Chief Minister said that now interest-free loans of up to Rs 5 lakh have been given and a revolving fund of Rs 1 crore has been set up for district level Mission Shakti Federation.
The Chief Minister hoped that it would take the Mission Shakti program further.
Throwing light on healthcare, the Chief Minister said that our policy is that every life is precious. Stating that the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana has become a model for the entire country, he said that till date 8 lakh people have received treatment under this scheme and the state government has spent more than Rs 1600 crore for it.
Appreciating the 5 school conversion program, the Chief Minister said that 102 schools have been converted in Jagatsanhpur district so far and all the schools in the district will be converted in the fourth phase.
The Chief Minister said that Rs 42 crore is being spent for the improvement of Ma Sarala Peeth and the work will be completed by December 2023.
Government Chief Whip Prashant Kumar Muduli, Jagatsinghpur MP Rajshri Mallik, Paradip MLA Sambat Routray, Tirtol MLA Bijaya Shankar Das attended the event and said that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is a pioneer of development.
Odisha is a leading state in the country today due to the strong leadership of the Chief Minister, they added. Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian coordinated the program.
