Rayagada: A Russian tourist allegedly died after jumping off from the third floor of a hotel here today evening.
The deceased tourist has been identified as Pavel Anthom. He was 65.
According to reports, Anthom jumped off from the third floor of Hotel Sai International to the ground after completing the funeral of his friend Vladimir Bydanov (61) who had died yesterday reportedly due to excessive consumption of alcohol.
Anthom was rushed to the district headquarters hospital here where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
Anthom and Bydanov are among the four tourists from Russia who arrived at Rayagada from Daringbadi on December 21 and were staying at the Hotel Sai International here. They were accompanied by a guide Jitendra Singh.
