Bhubaneswar: The Crime Branch is contemplating to re-create the circumstances leading to the death of Russian lawmaker Pavel Antov in a hotel in Rayagada.
Crime Branch specifically plans to conduct a dummy simulation exercise of falling from the roof top in similar circumstances.
For this a dummy of same weight, height as that of the deceased shall be created with the help of experts of anatomy department of AIIMS and forensic experts.
The objective is to study the fall pattern. In this regard Crime Branch has contacted Dr Rajendra Dangi former Director, CFSL, CBI and Dr Dogra of AIIMS Delhi who are the leading expert in dummy fall simulation exercise, the release said.
They have been involved in resolving several complicated cases of CBI. They will ascertain the cause, nature and manner of the incident and the injury on the body of Antov and crosscheck with the post-mortem report.
This is expected to help the inquiring team of Crime Branch to reach to a definite conclusion, said an official press release.
The Crime Branch team consisting of DSPs Tapan Dash, Sarojkant Mahanta and Scientific/forensic officers camping at Rayagada is continuing with its enquiry into the death of the Russian national duo- Pavel Antov and his co-traveller Vladimir Bidenov, the press release said.
The team continued with its examination of hotel staff of Sai International Hotel at Rayagada.
The Enquiry Officers are examining and receiving the seized exhibits from the district police to be sent to forensic experts for examination.
