24 Teachers Disengaged In Nabarangpur For Unauthorised Absence

Nabarangpur: A total of 24 teachers in Nabarangpur have been disengaged from service by the District Collector for being on unauthorised absence for around 12 years.

Reportedly, around 31 teachers in the district were not reporting for duty for the last 12 years. On the instruction of the School & Mass Education Department, show cause notices had been issued against them.

One of them had resigned from service, and six others also cited various grounds justifying their absence. However, the remaining 24 teachers did not reply to the show cause notices.

As the 24 teachers did not respond, the District Collector disengaged them on the recommendation of the District Education Officer.
