Bhubaneswar: Isolated cold wave is very likely over some parts of Odisha during the next two days under the influence of northwesterly/northerly dry and cold wind penetrating the State, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.
Cold wave condition is very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Angul, and Dhenkanal today.
Similarly, over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Angul, and Dhenkanal on Sunday.
People have been advised to stay indoors during the night and early morning and use multiple clothes to avoid exposure to cold; do arrangements to keep livestock in shaded/indoor areas during the night; and avoid movement during the night especially through two-wheelers/ open cars.
