Puri: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday attended the Centennial Utkal Agamani Utsav of Thakur Sri Sri Anukulchandra at Puri. Thousands of followers of Thakur Anukulchandra participated in the program held at the Talabania Sports Complex.
Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Justice Deepak Mishra attended the function as keynote speaker. More than 70 thousand followers from all over the state participated in the program. Addressing the event, the CM said, “Thakur Anukulchandra dedicated his life for social service. He called for creating a happy and beautiful Odisha.”
“It is a time of glory and happiness for all of us. Thakur Anukulachandra came to Puri from East Bengal at the request of the parents of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose. Along with him, many of his followers came here. Satsang has become a great spiritual movement across the country,” the CM added.
