Balasore: In a shocking incident, a two-year-old girl was killed by her mother’s paramour on Monday in Bhukumpada village under Khantapada police station of Baleswar district for lust.
According to a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother Jyotsna Queen Parida with the Khantapada police, she was working as a domestic help at a house in Bhuimpada village after her divorce. She also worked at Anadi Das’ house in the Sergarh area for a few days. During her employment there, she got into an illegal relationship with Anil Das’ son Manoj Kumar Das.
In the named FIR, Jyotsna, a resident of New Bazar under Baleswar Sahadeva Khunta police station limits, alleged that as Manoj was keen to marry her, he often mistreated her two-year-old daughter. Manoj allegedly believed that the child was a major obstruction in marrying Jyotsna and, hence, he often beat her to vent his anger and frustration on the child.
Jyotsna has accused Manoj had killed her daughter. Soon after the incident, Khantapada police arrested 30-year-old Manoj and sent him to judicial custody. The police have registered a homicide case (06/dated 10.01.2023) and launched a probe into the incident.
