Angul: Medicines worth lakhs of rupees were reduced to ashes in a devastating fire that broke out in the medicine storeroom of Kishorenagar Hospital in Angul district on Friday morning. According to reports, smoke was seen billowing out of the drug store room of Kishorenagar Group Health Center on Friday morning and soon the entire place was in flames.
The hospital staff present there tried to empty the store room but failed due to the presence of other drugs like spirits inside. On being informed, the Fire department personnel reached the spot and extinguished the fire.
However, before the fire could be brought under control, medicines worth lakhs of rupees had been reduced to ashes.
