Rayagada: At least three school kids were seriously injured when the auto rickshaw in which they were returning home after attending school had a head on collision with a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) coming from the opposite direction near the railway station here today in the afternoon.
The auto rickshaw driver was also seriously injured in the mishap.
The injured have been admitted to the district headquarters hospital here.
According to reports, as many as 14 kids of Kotpeta village studying in the Kendriya Vidyalaya at Sai Priya Nagar were returning home in the auto rickshaw after attending school when it was hit by a SUV coming from the opposite direction.
Police have registered a case in this connection and are investigating the matter.
