Bhubaneswar: A new chapter is going to be added in the field of healthcare in mineral-rich Keonjhar district on 13th of this month.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to visit Keonjhar on February 13 to inaugurate Dharanidhar Medical College and Hospital, said sources.
Patnaik had laid the foundation stone of the proposed medical college in 2016. The medical college has been built at an expenditure of Rs 381 crore.
In addition to construction of 25 blocks and 18 buildings, three separate blocks have been constructed for the hospital.
The new medical has 100 MBBS seats in the first year.
The new medical on becoming operational with all departments aims to provide quality healthcare to the tribal dominated population of Keonjhar district and its neighbourhood.
