Rayagada: The body of an unidentified man was found beside a drain behind the Indian Oil petrol station on Rayagada Road under Bisam Cuttack Police limits in Odisha’s Rayagada district on Sunday.
According to reports, the body was spotted when some local workers arrived at the spot to dig a canal this morning. The deceased is yet to be identified and even the cause of death remains unclear.
On being informed by the locals, Bisham Cuttack SDPO Akash Chandra Sahu and Bisham Cuttack police station officer Sumti Mahantu reached the spot and started an investigation. While the body has been sent for post-mortem, the incident has sparked panic in the area.
