Bhubaneswar: The lone accused (so far) in former Health Minister Naba Kisore Das murder, Gopal Krishna Das was today shifted to Choudwar Circle Jail from Jharsuguda Sub Jail amid tight security.
Gopal who had departed from Jharsuguda Sub Jail at around 1 PM reached Choudwar Circle Jail at around 6’o clock in the evening.
According to reports, following his health check-up Gopal has been shifted to a high security cell inside Choudwar Circle Jail.
Three security personnel are on duty to guard his cell. In addition to that he is under 24×7 CCTV surveillance.
Later as per the provisions in the jail manual his mental condition will be examined.
Gopal was shifted to Choudwar Circle following permission of the JMFC Court Jharsuguda.
The Jharsuguda Sub Jail authorities had today prayed for permission to shift Gopal to any other jail for security reasons.
He recorded his statement under section 164 CrPC before the JMFC Court in Jharsuguda today.
