Rayagada: Taking selfie by climbing on a loaded goods train on Wednesday proved fatal for a boy near Bhalu Maska railway station under Kalyansinghpur police limits in Rayagada district.
The boy died after coming in contact with 25 KV electric traction for powering electric locomotives. Two others have been also critically injured in the incident.
The deceased boy has been identified as Debendra Nayak of Bartiballi village under Kashipur block.
The Station Master of Bhalu Maska railway station has shifted the critically injured two boys to the nearest government hospital.
The Station Master after locating the deceased boy’s body has launched a inquiry into the matter.
These boys had come to Bhalu Maska village to attend a wedding ceremony. A pall of gloom has descended in the area following the tragic incident.
