Bhubaneswar: Dry weather will prevail in most places in Odisha during the next five days, the Bhubaneswar office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast on Sunday. At the same time, there is unlikely to be any marked change in the minimum (night) temperature in the state in the coming days.
According to the IMD bulletin, the cyclonic circulation over Chhattisgarh and neighbourhood at 0.9 km above mean sea level has become less marked.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed over the districts of Odisha and shallow to moderate fog occurred at one or two places over the Kalahandi, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts of interior Odisha. The minimum temperatures observed appreciable fall at one or two places over the districts of north coastal Odisha while no large change was observed elsewhere in Odisha. They were markedly above normal at one or two places over the districts of interior Odisha, appreciably above normal at a few places over the districts of interior Odisha, above normal at a few places over the districts of coastal Odisha and below normal at one or two places over the districts of interior Odisha.
The highest maximum temperature of 36.5°C was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 14.5°C was recorded at Sundargarh in the plains of Odisha.
The IMD forecasts fog/mist in the morning and mainly clear sky later for Bhubaneswar and neighbouring areas for the next 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 32°C and 19°C respectively.
