Bhubaneswar: Odisha will soon get a new 30-bedded ESI Hospital in Balasore. A decision in this regard was taken at the 190th meeting of the ESI Corporation on Monday.
The ESI Corporation has decided to open new ESI hospitals Odisha’s Balasore, Belagavi in Karnataka, Telengana’s Shamshabad, Baramati in Maharashtra, Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, Kishangarh and Ajmer in Rajasthan, and Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Union Labour and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav wrote, “The 190th meeting of ESI Corporation in Chandigarh took some important decisions to strengthen social security for India’s Shram Jeevis, furthering PM Narendra Modiji’s vision.”
The meeting also decided to continue providing financial support to the northeastern states and Sikkim for implementing the ESI scheme, said Yadav in another Twitter post.
