Bhubaneswar: Residents of Baripada and Balasore districts in Odisha experienced a mild tremor on Monday morning creating panic in the region.
While the authorities are yet to confirm anything in this regard till the time of filing this report locals said they heard a loud sound and suddenly doors, windows and furniture started shaking. The tremor lasted for a few seconds.
Panicked people came out of the house into the open. The cause of the loud noise is not known but panic has gripped the resident of these regions.
According to reports, there was no such pre-scheduled programme of missile testing in Chandipur. In Mayurbhanj, people were apprehensive about a supersonic jet creating a sound while taking off from the airstrip. However, nothing has been confirmed till now.
