Bhubaneswar: Puri police established a dedicated unit – Street Crime Prevention and Detection Cell (SCODC) to deal with street Crimes like snatching etc, in the pilgrim town.
Total 105 mobiles have been recovered by SCPDC in 1st Special Drive. The first Mobile Mela was held at Town Police Station where visibly happy rightful owners received their lost mobiles.
“The Police will courier mobiles to identified rightful mobile owners residing outside Odisha and outside Puri. Few among them also participated in Mobile Mela through Video Calls. The Mobiles have been sent through Courier today to Gujarat, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Assam, said SP Dr Kanwar Vishal Singh.
Meanwhile, the officers of SCPDC who have done outstanding work in Public Service were felicitated by SP Puri on Tuesday.
