Bhubaneswar: The condition of ailing popular Ollywood actor Pintu Nanda has worsened.
Taking to Twitter senior Odia actor Sritam Das has tweeted, “Pintu Nanda condition is not good. He needs blessing from everyone”.
In the tweet, Das shared pictures of the Ollywood actor Nanda undergoing treatment at the Yashoda Hospitals and a medical certificate from the hospital stating details of the diagnosis, advice and approximate expenditure for the treatment.
“Pintu Nanda, a 47 year’s male …… was seen by Dr Dharmesh Kapoor, and has been diagnosed to have Acute On Chronic Liver Failure. Advised to undergo Liver Transplantation (Cadaver). The approximate expenditure for the above treatment/Procedure will be around Rs 35,00,000 (Rupees Thirty Five Lakhs only),” the medical certificate of Yashoda Hospitals shared by Das reads.
Nanda was shifted to Yashoda Hospitals from the Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS) in New Delhi on last Saturday and his condition was stated to be stable.
Before leaving for New Delhi, Nanda was undergoing treatment at a private hospital here for cirrhosis of the liver. Doctors who had treated him here had advised him to go for liver transplant.
Members of the Odisha Cine Artist Association had also carried out a fundraising campaign for the popular Ollywood actor’s treatment.
