Bhubaneswar: The body of a girl student of the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Umerkote in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district was found hanging inside her hostel room on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Nageswari Gond, a resident of Salebhata village under Raighr police station limits in the district. Nageswari was a second-year student of the Mechanical (Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning) trade in the ITI.
Nageswari’s body was reportedly found hanging inside Room No-2 in the girls’ hostel of the technical institution.
On being informed, Umerkote Police reached the ITI campus and initiated a probe into the matter. It is yet to be ascertained why the girl took such a drastic step.
