Cuttack: In a gory incident, a car ran over a woman and her daughter when the duo was waiting for a bus near Sati Chaura area here today.
The woman and her daughter sustained injuries and have been admitted to a private hospital here. The condition of the mother is stated to be serious.
According to reports, the car was being driven by a youth who was in an inebriated condition.
Locals helped in shifting the woman and her daughter to the hospital and also handed over the errant driver to the police.
The car, after running over the two, rammed into a roadside shop in the area.
