Bhubaneswar: Direct flights to Dubai from Bhubaneswar will start from May 15 and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will launch ticket bookings for these flights tomorrow on the occasion of Utkal Divas.
“The first flight from Biju Patnaik International Airport to Dubai is scheduled to take off from May 15. Ticket bookings will start tomorrow,” Secretary to CM (5T) informed.
In a social media post, Pandian stated: “This is not just a flight to an international destination … it is a giant leap for #Odisha – bringing people and cultures together, bringing markets and investments closer … opening up the entire Western Hemisphere.”
The reconstruction of Terminal-2 of Biju Patnaik International Airport is in the final stage. This work will be completed soon and from May 15 this year, the first flight from Biju Patnaik International Airport to Dubai will take off. After this, direct flights to Singapore and Bangkok will also be started by IndiGo, reports stated.
