Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to affect some parts of the districts of Nabarangpur, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Rayagada, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Jajpur and Angul during next three hours, the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD’s) Meteorological Centre here said in a nowcast warning issued at 3.45 PM today.
The Meteorological Centre has issued a ‘Yellow’ alert for the aforementioned districts.
The IMD has advised people to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
