Balasore: Villagers of Sunarui in Baliapal block of Balasore district offered a grand farewell to Headmaster of the village school, Niranjan Pradhan who superannuated after 39 years of great service.
Locals and students of Gadadhar Giri Government High School bid a farewell to Pradhan who retired on March 31.
In a bid to show their love and respect for the retired high school headmaster, the students arranged a chariot for Pradhan and carried out a huge procession. Hundreds of locals joined the students and attended the farewell ceremony.
Pradhan left an indelible mark on the lives of many students and teachers during his career. “Pradhan Sir was like a father to us. He is a great man,” they said.
“He has spread knowledge and love all throughout his career,” a group of villagers said.
