Paradip: Thirteen persons, including 11 students, sustained varying degrees of injuries after a school bus they were travelling by skidded off the road and rammed against a roadside tree early on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, 11 students and two teachers were on their way to Odisha Model School in Agapal when the driver lost control of the wheel near Santaragada and the vehicle crashed against a roadside tree. All 13 passengers on the bus sustained injuries.
On being informed, Fire Services personnel reached the spot, rescued the injured and rushed them to the Kujang Medical Center. The van driver fled the spot after the mishap.
Meanwhile, police are probing into the cause of the accident.
