According to the police, during night patrolling on the intervening night of 11 & 12 April, a team of the Jonk police station raided a house behind Ram Mandir in Khariar Road town leading to the busting of an online IPL cricket betting racket.

During the raid, police apprehended five persons belonging to Raipur, Bematara and Raj Nandgaon districts of neighbouring Chhattisgarh.

Police seized 21 mobile phones, 4 laptops, 15 ATM cards of different banks, 10 cheque books of different banks, 5 passbooks of different banks, one note having handwritten details of accounting, one Aadhar Card, one Driving Licence, etc during the raid.
