Bhubaneswar: A woman was killed while her brother sustained serious injuries after the scooter they were riding on was knocked down by an autorickshaw today evening.
The deceased has been identified as Diptimayee Jena of Dhanmandal Majhi Sahi under Gobindpur police limits.
The mishap took place on Icchapur – Gobindpur road when Jena was returning from her native with her brother after completing the last rites of her mother.
Her brother has been shifted to a hospital for treatment while the body of the deceased was sent for autopsy. A case has been registered in this connection.
